Big Fish, the musical adaptation of the acclaimed novel and Tim Burton’s 2003 film, will be swimming into Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre this fall! In the video below, five-time Tony-winning director Susan Stroman, writer John August, composer Andrew Lippa and more share what inspired them to bring the grand musical to life. "The title Big Fish implies that impossibly epic story that can't possibly be true, but you really wish it was true," says August, referring to the musical's larger-than-life tale about Edward Bloom, a charismatic storyteller whose tall tales have estranged him from his son Will. Starring Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz, Kate Baldwin and Bobby Steggert, Big Fish's pre-Broadway run will open at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre on April 21.
